Silk Flowers (2025)

A Butterfly Production

Written and Directed by Travers Tobis Produced by Nathan Krachman

Anna Durbin is an aspiring photographer hoping to finally showcase her work in a prominent LA Gallery. When she meets renowned gallery owner and photography curator Georgia Monroe, she is informed of an unfortunate truth: her work is amateur at best and boring at worst. Upon Ms. Monroe’s request to actually see an interesting photo the next day, Anna decides to attend an underground boxing match in which Marcus Wrought, her convenience store clerk from earlier in the day, is fighting. She is immediately enraptured by the rawness of Marcus’ performance and decides that he will be her next subject, capturing the perfect post-knockout photo in the process.

In order to ensure her place in Georgia’s gallery, Anna must experience life and love for the first time through her new muse, a semi-pro standoffish boxer who hates getting his photo taken. Can their connection go beyond the camera, or will their different worlds prevent them from ever truly seeing eye to eye?
